Macro Photography - The art of Making Very Small Things Big
Shutterklik.com was formed in July 2007. Over the coming months we will be adding startup items to get you going in Macro. I have been taking macro photos for many years and in the early days, when we had very little money, I used to stick bits of plastic tube and lens caps together to extend lenses and used babymilk tins as reflectors. You don't have to be rich to enjoy this wonderful hobby!
The reflectors used to have 100 watt lightbulbs in them - not very nice, but on one occasion I was viewing a subject through the viewfinder and watching the internal light meter and moving the light closer to the subject, waiting for the light meter to go from red to green for go. All of a sudden the subject shrivelled up in front of my eyes. I was much more careful after that and it never happened again. It made me calculate the settings beforehand. If the conditions were not suitable then I didn't take the picture.
Watch this space. The first Section will be released very soon. You can contact me via email or preferably through the forum if you have any issues about macro.
